2026-2027 STUDENT HANDBOOK UPDATES
The Lancaster School District Student Handbook has been updated and there are many new additions. Contact the school or Lancaster School District for more information or clarification. Here is a short list of some updates:

NO CELL PHONE USE ON SCHOOL CAMPUSES.California Bill AB 3216 passed, banning use of cell phones, headphones and other handheld systems by students. This does not include a student Chromebook. Devices must be kept in packpacks at al times.
SUGGESTED OPTION: Have student keep device at home.

NO OUTSIDE DRINKS ALLOWEDLancaster School District has updated its policy. Beginning this school year, not Starbucks, Dutch Brothers, Big Gulps, or any other drinks are allowed on campus. Students entering New Vista Middle School will be instructed to finish their drinks, or throw them away before entering campus.
SUGGESTED OPTION: Purchase drink after school as a reward for doing an amazing job at school.

ALL FOOD DELIVERIES ARE PROHIBITEDFood delivery services are not allowed, which means FOOD DELIVERED TO NEW VISTA WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED and turned away. Parents and/or Guardians are welcomed to drop off food themselves and sit with their child while they eat the food.
SUGGESTED OPTION: Send your child to school with lunch in a lunchbox.

Certain ebikes & escooters are bannedClass 3 escooters and ebikes require the rider to be 16years or older AND possess a valid CA Drivers License. Because of this, they are NOT allowed on-campus. Please ensure your child's evehicle is appropriate AND that your child is wearing safety equipment while riding it to and from campus.
